I have over 15 years of experience and networks in the artists' studio / workspace sector. I also brings to this the direct experience of being a practicing visual artist. I'm still learning.
I managed and developed Cable St Studios & Gallery, a single site artists' studio/gallery complex of 150 studios, with two exhibition spaces, from 1994 to 2000. Subsequently until November 2005 I was Director of Property and Capital Development at SPACE. I was a member of the steering group for the establishment of a National Federation of Artists' Studio Providers [NFASP].
From May 2006 to June 2009 I worked with ACAVA studios in London, on studio development and management, and health and safety.
In July 2009 I was appointed as Assistant Director, Head of Property for Bow Arts Trust, in London. Bow Arts Trust is an arts education charity based in, unsurprisingly, Bow, in East London. The Trust provides affordable studio space and live work accommodation to visual artists, as well as working with schools and communities in art education projects.
